CONJUNCTION
a tale of two aliens (our bio)
Partners in life and art, Maia Ramnath and Medea Exogiinos have been creating and performing together for 6 years. They are best known for their normalcy and mass appeal. You may be familiar with the world famous Glassrcize TM method which they founded in 2019. Future multidisciplinary collaborations will include music recording, choreography, writing, alien care brochures, and channeling the spirit of Isadora Duncan’s lesser-known brother Raymond.

Medea Exogiinos
Medea Exogiinos (it/its) began as a gymnast, competing in USAG's Tumbling and Trampoline from ages 10-15. After finding an artistic voice in movement in a high school dance department in Kenosha, WI, Medea pursued concert dance, completing two years as a trainee with Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, performing at Harris Theater and Auditorium Theatre. After another two years as a full-scholarship student at The Ailey School, it joined the second company of Martha Graham, dancing works by Martha Graham, Blanca Li, Carrie-Ellmore Tallitsch, Virginie Mecene, and Medea's own choreography at the Martha Graham Studio Theater, City Center, The Joyce, and BAM. Medea also appeared as a freelance artist for Francesca Harper Project, Buglisi Dance Theater, and Gloria McClean as well as completing the Gaga Winter Intensive under Ohad Naharin in Tel Aviv. Since discovering more creative flexibility in multi-disciplinary circus arts, Medea has had a wonderful time at venues such as The Box, Secret Loft, House of Yes, and Slipper Room. It also has collaborated with Constellation Moving Company, Athena Entertainment, Hybrid Movement Company, and ABCirque. Medea advocates for mental health awareness and the LGBTQ+ community through its work, based upon lived-experience. Outside of creating artistic advocacy, Medea is a certified NYS Peer Specialist and facilitates suicide awareness through NAMI NYC Metro, spearheading the support group "Living with Thoughts of Suicide" in 2022. Swimming is Medea's second life, and it can often be found in the coastal waters of Coney Island/Brighton Beach with CIBBOWS, or indoors with the lgbtq teams TNYA and FRNY. When it isn't performing, training or swimming, it records music, blending instrumentals from violin and dulcimer to guitar and voice.
